Bridging the gap between web and mobile. Experience smooth, fast, and engaging apps.
A PWA can be accessed via web browser, like traditional websites; or it can be downloaded onto the user’s mobile device — making it one of the most flexible technology solutions for businesses.
With so many factors that go into making the optimal progressive web app, you want an experienced team in your corner.
At Elevate, we have years of experience as Progressive Web App developers. We understand the ideal mix of features and technology, and always stay up-to-date on the latest technology advances in this unique space.
Unlike some PWA development companies that have a cookie-cutter approach, we customize each and every Progressive Web App – so the end result will be the best solution for you and your business.
No surprises along the road. We’ve broken down every step of the process so that you know exactly what to expect. Take a look…
Our process begins with an introductory call where a member of the Elevate team will walk you through who we are, why we’re the best, and begin the process of scoping out your needs. We’re looking to get to know you as well as achieve a high level understanding of your current state, desired future state, and any constraints you may have.
At this point, you see the value in working with Elevate and you’re ready to get into the nitty gritty of your project. This is what we call the Discovery Process. An Elevate Architect will take the lead here, guiding you through a detailed session that clearly outlines the requirements as you have them. In some cases this is an iterative process requiring 2-3 sessions to ensure that all items have been captured.
Now that we understand your needs, the fun begins. Our Elevate Architect will align technologies with your specific requirements and budget constraints. We'll help you select the right mix of open source and proprietary technologies. If your application is already in production, we'll assess what to keep and what to replace.
It's time to formalize our plan. We'll create an Approach Document outlining the purpose of our engagement, intended features, technologies to be used, and the expected schedule with deliverables. Our team will review this document with you on a call to address any questions. We'll incorporate your feedback and provide a final Approach Document for your verbal approval.
It’s almost go-time, but first we need to make it official. The last piece before we kickoff the engagement is the Statement of Work. This outlines all items contained in the Approach Document and adds the associated pricing. We also clearly layout any client responsibilities well ahead of time so our clients are prepared.
With the formalities behind us, we're set to get started. First up: a kickoff call. We'll review the statement of work to ensure it's all current and answer any new questions you might have. We'll also establish Conditions of Satisfaction (CoS) to optimize how the work is done. Prefer Slack over email? We’ll make a note of it here
As we move forward, we'll stay connected with weekly calls to review progress and plans, using tools like Slack, JIRA, and Discord for daily updates. Our flexible process adapts to both technological changes and shifts in your vision, ensuring we stay on course. We are committed to a transparent and seamless delivery, and we’ll work until you are 100% satisfied.
Not sure if a Progressive Web App or mobile app is right for your business? There are a few things to keep in mind when making this decision.
For example, a PWA can be a good choice for businesses who:
Unlike native mobile apps that have to be developed for each individual platform, like iOS and Android, PWAs automatically adapt to work seamlessly on any kind of device – iPhone, Samsung, Google device, tablet, TV, or laptop.
By not having to create unique apps for the different platforms, PWA development can be faster and more cost-friendly than the development of native apps.
Your consumers get the look and feel of the mobile apps they’re used to without having to download an application onto their phone.
Instead, users can add the PWA to their phone’s home screen with a single click for easy access.
Since a Progressive Web App is housed online, potential users can discover your PWA in web searches and on Google – allowing your business more visibility options.
So maybe you decide a PWA is a better choice for you over a native app. But what about just sticking to a standard web application?
A PWA can offer additional features to a traditional website, making it the perfect choice for businesses who:
Unlike native mobile apps that have to be developed for each individual platform, like iOS and Android, PWAs automatically adapt to work seamlessly on any kind of device – iPhone, Samsung, Google device, tablet, TV, or laptop.
A PWA is able to utilize the hardware that a user’s device already has in place. This includes their device’s camera, microphone, and GPS.
These features can create a more immersive app experience for your end users.
Since PWAs store cached data on the user’s device, they don’t need to retrieve that information each and every time. This allows PWAs to have incredibly fast loading times, even on a slow network.
